Michelle Balisi, LMFT
Title: Licensed Therapist
Credentials: LMFT
Do you ever feel stuck in unhealthy relationship patterns, struggle with trust, or battle with self-doubt? You may also notice feelings of anger, shame, and guilt even when you try to push them down. If this sounds familiar, you are not alone. Many of these struggles trace back to childhood experiences that shape how we see ourselves and how we show up in relationships as adults.
In therapy, I help you understand how your past experiences are impacting you today, and together we build tools that foster a strong mind-body connection to assist in helping you feel calm and in control in environments that once caused debilitating anxiety and depression. My clients often describe a greater sense of self-trust, ease within themselves and about the world, and empowerment to thrive in their lives.
As a multicultural therapist, I value the uniqueness of each person I work with. You will learn how certain factors, such as family dynamics, heritage, culture, age, ethnic background, race, sexuality, gender, and even language, shape how you navigate the world. Too often, these parts of ourselves are silenced, and they yearn to be expressed. In our work together, I’ll create a supportive space where your voice is heard, your truths are honored, and all aspects of who you are can be celebrated. I look forward to supporting you on this journey.

More Than Just My Work
I am a first-generation Filipina-American who grew up in Southern California. I STILL love all things 90s – everything from R&B, rap, and alternative music to TGIF, Beverly Hills 90210, and Blossom reruns! I enjoy moving my body in the form of dancing, jogging, boxing, and Muay Thai training. As I’ve matured, I have learned to appreciate quiet and stillness, and am aiming to attend a silent retreat in the future. Namaste!
